Why registering as a sailing applicant?

The main advantage of registering as an applicant is that you can fill in the application form (identical to the one before), create and change your own profile during all the time the call for the respective sailing expedition is open. Your profile will be maintained and can be used again when you apply for another expedition. Another advantage is, that you can upload you pdf-files (Letter of Motivation, CV, Publication list or Letter of Support (for young scientists) more easily. Last but not least, for the ESSAC Office as well as for the 17 countries delegates it is much easier to handle the amount of application in this way. Thanks for your understanding.

How to register?

Please fill fields below. Do not forget to copy the code displayed. If you can not read the code properly, create another one by clicking on the symbol on the right-hand side of the code field. After you have finished click on the ¨submit button¨. A message (under the ESSAC logo) will be displayed that a Mail has been successfully sent. If you can not see the message under the ESSAC logo or you do not receive the welcome mail within - an hour - the login process has not worked out. Please try again, check if the welcome mail did not go in your spam folder or if your email account works properly before contacting ESSAC Office.

How to login?

After having successfully registered you will receive within 10 minutes the ESSAC welcome mail, with your login (your email address) and a password. Please use this login and password to login and click on the ¨Log in¨ Button. After having successfully logged in, your name with the message Welcome will appear under the ESSAC logo. You can change the password now in your profile. If you can not see the welcome message under the ESSAC logo the login process has not worked out. Please check if you try to login with the same email address when you registered and check the received password in the ESSAC welcome mail before contacting ESSAC Office.

Email address and changes?

Please keep the email address, you used for registration and login for this site. It is your username. If you are going to change your email address in the near future, you can anticipate this event by changing your current email address in your profile. If you forgot you email address or you changed institution and can not further use the old email address, please contact ESSAC Office to solve the problem.

How to retrieve a forgotten password ?

If you forgot your password, please enter your email address in the field down-below. A message that you will soon receive an email with a new password will appear beneath the ESSAC logo. Please use this new password and your email address to login again. If you forgot your password AND can not use your email used for registration, please contact ESSAC Office to solve the problem.
